getting informed about hazards we can avoid is critical to our health and that of our children and grandchildren. What i do find alarming is the volume of information that's been withheld from us that's what people should be alarmed about, and what has to change.
because there is so much information to digest i find that most parents are reactive rather than proactive . Responding, if they even do, after a friend tells them something it bad , rather than taking the steps to prevent problems from occurring.
it doesn't help that every day something new comes out informing the public that oops something we thought was safe before is actually very lethal take bpa in plastics for example. Bpa was virtually ignored as a issue for years until recently.
